The Peace handbook contains information that Peace Builders Kids Club Members learn how to build peace and security for now and stability, democracy and sustainable development as they grow up.
Every kid is issued with a copy during their visit to the park.
As peace builders, some of the things they will learn are how to stop bullying, how to promote peace building among children and some cool peace symbols.
The handbook also contains the Peace Dictionary, Cartoon Stories and Many ways to respond to conflict.
The kids also learn how to get involved in peace building by:
- Taking part in the International Day of Peace celebrated on September 21st.
- Forming a Peace Group – getting a group of friends together at school or estate to set peace building goals to achieve.
- Fund-raising for community projects – undertaking projects with other children from different backgrounds to help those in need.
